Great web site! My family history is of the 23rd Iowa and my Great Grandfather. The 23rd Iowa was the white Regiment. Accounts go that they were not happy when they were given no quarter by the Rebs. With over 600 Union dead and wounded and only 185 Rebs dead and wounded it must have been a horrible day.
